I have ordered twice on the app already, and Im highly pissed off you pay R35 delivery fee, just to get some item missing when u open the bags. Call customer care, well they sorry and so on, but if you forget items I might as well go shopping myself! Rude and unprofessional customer care support. Will not use this form of shopping again.

First time Checkers 60 order. Tomatoes unusable - hard as rocks. Definitely not as shown in the online photo! Phoned customer service and was told to log an issue on the app as they can't exchange the item. I had already tried that but the app does not give an option for this situation and there is no "Other" option for further details! I requested a call back from someone in authority but the promise I received did not give me much hope. Totally unacceptable!

Checkers toilet rolls are the worst. Don't know if it's 2ply or 1ply as it spilts into two while using and rough as *** Avoid them at Al costs and checkers should fire the manufacturer as they embarassing. Also idiotic staff all on cellphones bumping into you and injuring customers. I'm awaiting to sue to them for negligence

The Bryanpark checkers has a rude cashier, I stopped shopping at the physical store just to never see her again, but now the Checkers60 app takes more than 2 hours to deliver. I placed an order at 5pm and it only arrived after 7pm. One item smells and looks like it isnt fresh. I am disappointed in the service and it keeps getting worse. Ill be moving to Pickn Pay asap. At least they deliver under 60 minutes.

Quality Concerns

I've been using the checkers online app for several months from 2023 -****. I order groceries on a daily basis and the delivery service is great. Sometimes when ordering products that are available on the app are not always available in store, need to catch a wake up Checkers. When this occurs the service provider provides a credit to the value of the item, however there's a catch, and in order to use the credit one needs to order additional items to a certain value in order to retain the credit. The checkers app also allows the customer to log and claim for damaged goods, however today I learnt from a customer services consultant that my account has been blocked and I can no longer claim for damaged goods on the app. I am considered a dishonest customer for claiming on damaged delivered goods, however checkers will keep taking my money. What's the good of being honest and providing constructive feedback, as long as you keep paying for a service where there are issues and ignorance prevails. Wake up Checkers and listen to the consumer, blocking a customer does not silence or conceal issues.

Disappointed at efficiency

At the store in The Point, Sea Point, I found that the prices show on the shelves, were not the prices that were rung up at the tills. I don't know whether it was an oversight by the merchandisers or just plain inefficiency, but when you buy an item expecting to pay the indicated price and then when you get home and check your slip and see that a different price was charged, it is very frustrating, and you feel you've been cheated!!! This has happened quite a few times. And when I queried it, the excuse was - either the wrong item was packed behind the price or it was an oversight. It is unacceptable at this time when everyone is watching their expenses, that Checkers wants to 'cheat' people in this way.

Mix up with wine

Checkers has been prompt in attending to my complaint. I was reimbursed to the full. I have always found them to be accommodating, polite and excellent follow-up and customer service. I dont quite know how I ended up on this site, but I am not pissed off with Checkers sixty 60. I use other online grocery apps and find Checkers to be the most customer friendly, above and beyond expectations.

Good service at Balfour Park for a change

I always go to checkers in Balfour Park and the service is very average. No one goes out of their way to help you but today I was helped at the fruit and veg by Thembilani. What a difference. He was friendly and helpful and quick - how great if everyone could be like him

Delivery received without wood or charcoal for braai in Sh day

I am extremely annoyed at the fact that I made an online order with checkers. They did not deliver the wood or charcoal. The app does not allow for refund and even if it did til would incur another delivery fee. I called driver who said he didnt receive the goods. Called call centre and they advised theres nothing they can do and that they will escalate it but checkes will push back saying they did deliver some of the good so they will not credit anything. Disgusting customer service. Im out of pocket with no recourse and I still need the goods so what now !!!

False advertising

Checkers South Africa - False advertising
Bought dish washing liquid on Friday past with other groceries. Also bought "rinse aid" for the dishwasher. when myself and spouse got home we found the 2nd refill was also dish washing liquid but brand name. Clever packing? The brand name was on the dish washer appliance rack while the original Sunlight was on the detergents rack. Very misleading.

Poor customer service

Good day My name is Colleen 081445**** and I am writing this complaint with so much disappointment On the 02 Oct 2022 In the morning I went to checkers in Loftus park to do my shopping. I was assisted by a male cashier called Musa Nofile Part of my groceries that I had was cucumber and it did not have a barcode and the cashier said since the cucumber does not I have to go and fetch another cucumber and I packed my own groceries myself and now I had to go fetch the cucumber which did not have a barcode My question to the cashier was whos fault is that the cucumber does not have a barcode? Are you telling me to go fetch the cucumber cos Im black if it was a white customer were u gona fetch it for them? The cashier responded what else can we do cos you can see that we dont even have packets therefore you HAVE to go fetch the cucumber yourself As a retail you cannot under no circumstances put such people at a front row especially people who back chat at customers. This is a poor customer services is beyond poor. You cannot allow ur employees to back chat and treat customers like *** I am beyond disappointed infant I am disgusted Regards Colleen

Parys checkers do not give out minis since 17/8

We do not get minis at Parys Checkers! On 17/8 and Friday 20/8. I spoke to the manager, he said they ran out of stock. Checkers advertise daily on TV, the promotion is on. It is unacceptable. We kept the till slips
